Granite Devices VSD-XE Servo Drive Review

The kind folks over at Granite Devices allowed us to review one of their “swiss-army knife” VSD drives and we were happy to do so. We had heard lots about these drives and couldn’t wait to get our hands on one. The Finish based company is known for their quality products with top notch software and we were certainly not disappointed. In this review will walk through the complete process from unpackaging to powering it through to an application and give you our impressions along the way.

CamBam is a value packed CAM software solution whose primary benefits are price/performance ratio, intuitive use, and stability. Overall we were VERY pleased with the product and surprised at how easy it was to use. The software package is deceptively robust and sophisticated….Attention to detail (ie. intelligent defaults and organization in menus) is noticed and appreciated.
