A simple yet extremely practical R8 Collet holder! Easy to machine using two different router bits. Add a soft roundover with an 1/8 inch quarter round router bit and this little gem is ready for action!

The Build LogThe R8 toolholder you see here was part of a larger machinest toolbox I was making for my father for Christmas. I wanted it to be unique and so I thought up this spinning tray of collets concept. Here is the finished product.
The CAD file was drawn up after taking some basic measurements with a pair of calipers. Fortunately for a project like this, the tolerances are very forgiving Here’s a mockup in my favorite CAD package rhino3D
